SEC approves MoU to leverage ‘Jahiz’ Platform

SHARJAH: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), chaired the meeting of the SEC, on Tuesday, held at the Sharjah Ruler's Office. During its meeting, the SEC discussed a range of significant government-related issues focused on fostering ongoing development in key sectors of the Emirate of Sharjah and improving the overall quality of life for its citizens and residents. The Council approved the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sharjah's Human Resources Department and the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR). This MoU will allow them to utilise the "Jahiz" platform. The Council reviewed the amendments proposed by the Sharjah Consultative Council regarding the draft law for the establishment and regulation of the Rental Disputes Centre in Sharjah. The proposed changes aim to enhance the existing legal framework and integrate valuable input for the benefit of the community. T he Council has decided to submit the draft law to H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for the final stage of the legislative process. The Council received an extensive report on the advancements in career development initiatives within the Sharjah Human Resources Department during the first half of 2024. The report highlighted a strong emphasis on training programmes aimed at enhancing employee productivity across various sectors. These programmes are implemented in partnership with government bodies and international institutions that specialise in training and development. The report revealed that, in the first half of 2024, a total of 155 training programmes and 38 vital programmes were successfully carried out, benefiting a significant number of 4,249 employees throughout the Emirate of Sharjah. The career development efforts included specialised programmes designed to government entities' needs, along with comprehensive training on HR regulation s and systems, as well as the "Masar" project for new employee orientation, which benefited 563 employees. The career development initiatives included customized programs designed to meet the specific requirements of government entities, along with comprehensive training on HR regulations and systems. Additionally, the "Masaar" project was implemented to provide new employee orientation, benefiting a total of 563 employees. The Council has given its approval for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sharjah's Human Resources Department and the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR). This MoU will allow them to utilize the "Jahiz" platform, a significant project that aims to enhance the preparedness of government talents and equip them with the necessary skills for the future.
