In the early hours after midnight, Israeli enemy forces opened heavy machine gun fire towards the southern Lebanese town of Aita al-Shaab in the central sector of southern Lebanon. The situation escalated at dawn with artillery strikes targeting the vicinity of Naqoura and Jabal al-Labouneh in the western sector. The attacks prompted most UNIFIL outposts south of the Litani River to sound their alarm sirens. Throughout the night and into the morning hours on Friday, Israeli forces continued to launch flares over border villages adjacent to the Blue Line, while military aircraft, including reconnaissance drones, conducted persistent flyovers across the southern region.
