Bryansk: At least seven people lost their lives and 66 sustained injuries when a highway bridge collapsed onto railway tracks, causing the derailment of an approaching train in Russia's Bryansk region, which is adjacent to Ukraine, as reported by Russian authorities early on Sunday. According to Emirates News Agency, the collapse was attributed to interference with the operation of transport, as clarified by the press service of the Moscow Railway. The Governor of the Bryansk Region, Alexander Bogomaz, reported that 44 individuals were hospitalized, while 22 others are receiving outpatient care. Among the injured, three victims, including a child, are in serious condition. The child was airlifted to Moscow for medical treatment, as reported by TASS. The Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has initiated an inspection of the incident site, organizing a series of investigative actions to determine all circumstances surrounding th e event.
