Sharjah: Sharjah Media City (Shams) has announced the successful training of over 300 professionals from 16 government institutions and entities through its "Shams AI Club" programmes and workshops. This initiative aims to enhance digital skills and empower employees to leverage artificial intelligence applications across various work environments.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Shams AI Club initiative, which was launched to train over 500 participants, is currently in its first phase. The training system integrates theoretical knowledge with practical experience, enabling participants to develop their capabilities and adapt to rapid technological and innovative transformations. Over the past period, a series of specialised training workshops have been organised, targeting employees from government entities and institutions. These workshops cover topics related to artificial intelligence applications, such as AI fundamentals, command engineering, smart tools for productivity, task automation, data analysis, content creation, and the responsible use of these technologies.
Shams has confirmed that the training programmes and workshops will continue until the end of October. Specialised courses will continue to attract more participants and organisations, as part of a plan to expand the initiative's reach and achieve its goals of developing and empowering talent with future-ready skills.
Majed Al Suwaidi, Director of Information Technology at Sharjah Media City (Shams), expressed satisfaction with the interest and engagement from government entities and professionals participating in the programmes. Al Suwaidi highlighted the successful training of more than 300 participants, which reflects the growing interest in developing skills and leveraging artificial intelligence technologies. He explained that the continuation of workshops until the end of October is part of Shams' commitment to expanding the initiative's reach and achieving its objectives of building a knowledge-based society equipped with the skills to effectively and responsibly employ AI technologies.
Abdullah Al Sharhan, Director of the Innovation and Artificial Intelligence Department at Shams, noted the significant interaction and interest from participants in employing AI in the workplace during the workshops. He emphasised the practical experience provided, which allowed participants to learn, experiment with modern tools, and apply them in their daily tasks, contributing to increased productivity and innovation.
