Sharaf Group Pledges AED5 Million to Edge of Life Campaign

Dubai: Sharaf Group has announced a AED5 million contribution in support of the Edge of Life campaign to rescue five million children from hunger. The initiative was launched during Ramadan by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, with a goal to raise a minimum of AED1 billion to aid in the fight against childhood hunger globally.

According to Emirates News Agency, Dubai Duty Free's contribution is part of a wider participation in the campaign, which operates under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI). This highlights the UAE community's culture of giving and generosity. The campaign is organized in partnership with UNICEF, Save the Children, the Children's Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), and Action Against Hunger.

Yasser Sharaf, Vice President of Sharaf Group, emphasized the campaign's significance in the UAE's philanthropic efforts and global humanitarian actions, stating that it is set to play a crucial role in advancing international efforts to combat childhood hunger. He noted that Sharaf Group's participation reflects their commitment to social responsibility and supporting noble initiatives launched in the UAE during Ramadan.

The campaign is open to donations from institutions and individuals through various channels, including the campaign's website (www.edgeoflife.ae) and a toll-free call center (800 4999). Contributions can also be made via bank transfers to Emirates Islamic Bank (IBAN: AE940340003708472909222), and through SMS donations by sending 'LIFE' to specific numbers.
