Sharjah:The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), through its Sharjah Training and Development Centre (STDC), has launched the fifth cohort of the Strategic Business Leadership Programme for the years 2026-2027. The programme, themed 'Start Your Successful Leadership Journey,' aims to bolster leadership skills and institutional development.
According to Wam, the programme is organized in collaboration with Spain's University of Navarra and seeks to equip leaders with necessary knowledge and practical skills to enhance performance and development in line with international practices. Aimed at department directors, deputies, section heads, and nominated employees, the six-month course runs from November 2026 to April 2027, focusing on strategic and knowledge-based capability development through an integrated framework.
The programme comprises seven training modules that combine contemporary leadership principles with future-oriented management approaches. Topics include situational leadership, strategic thinking, artificial intelligence, business psychology, strategic integration, design thinking, and leadership strategies in VUCA environments. Participants will also attend specialized training at the University of Navarra to explore international best practices.
Maryam Saif Al Shamsi, Assistant Director-General for the Support Services Sector at SCCI, emphasized the importance of investing in human capital and leadership capabilities to drive institutional efficiency and adaptability. Amal Abdullah Al Ali, Director of STDC, highlighted the programme's integration of academic learning and practical application to prepare professionals for leadership roles.
The programme's practical component allows participants to apply their acquired skills to real-world institutional challenges, fostering innovative solutions and initiatives. By developing critical and creative thinking, strategic planning, and change management skills, the programme enhances participants' ability to lead and improve organizational performance.
