Sharjah: The Board of Trustees for the Sharjah Excellence Award (SEA) has announced that the ceremony to celebrate the winners of the 2024 edition will occur on June 25. Organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, the award reflects the emirate's dedication to promoting business excellence.
According to Emirates News Agency, the announcement was made during a regular meeting chaired by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI and the Board of Trustees of SEA. The event witnessed participation from significant figures, including Hamad Ali Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department, and Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, among others.
The meeting resulted in several key decisions, including extending the registration deadline for the 2025 award edition to January 31, 2026. Discussions also highlighted the introduction of a potential new category, 'Best Service Entity', and emphasized collaboration with excellence awards across the UAE.
Abdallah Sultan Al Owais commended the efforts of the Sharjah Excellence Award team and reiterated the Chamber's commitment to leveraging the award as a strategic platform to promote excellence and innovation within the business sector. This initiative aligns with Sharjah's strategy to build a competitive and knowledge-based economy.
Nada Al-Hajri, General Coordinator of the SEA, indicated that the meeting's outcomes would shape the award's future. These include extending the registration deadline and considering the new category 'Sharjah Award for Best Service Entity'. The meeting also explored proposals to enhance the award's impact and allow participation from companies across all emirates.
