Sharjah Debt Settlement Committee Allocates AED73.7 Million to Resolve 143 Debt Cases

Sharjah: In implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at providing a stable and dignified life for his citizens, the Sharjah Debt Settlement Committee approved AED73,786,000 to settle the debts of 143 cases. Rashid Ahmed bin Al Sheikh, Head of the Emiri Diwan and Chairman of the Sharjah Debt Settlement Committee, confirmed this significant financial allocation.

According to Emirates News Agency, the committee approved AED73,786,000 as part of the 29th batch of settlements to resolve the financial challenges faced by 143 individuals, including those convicted in financial cases and deceased debtors. This initiative is part of a broader effort by the Sharjah Debt Settlement Committee to alleviate financial burdens on Emirati citizens.

Rashid Ahmed bin Al Sheikh elaborated that the total funds settled since the inception of the program have reached AED1,353,773,153, benefiting 2,791 individuals. This ongoing support underscores the commitment of the Sharjah government to ensure the financial stability and well-being of its citizens.
