Sharjah: The Sharjah Finance Department organised the Fifth Financial Forum, aiming to enhance the efficiency of government financial systems and develop national cadres in line with international best practices. This initiative seeks to position Sharjah as a model for sound financial management and digital transformation.
According to Emirates News Agency, the forum was attended by more than 250 participants from various government entities in Sharjah, alongside officials, experts, and individuals interested in financial and digital matters. It highlighted significant initiatives and projects designed to boost performance efficiency, develop the revenue system, and improve transparency and financial governance in the Emirate.
Hoda Al Yasi, Director of the Financial System Department at the Sharjah Finance Department, stated that the forum represents the department’s commitment to refining financial systems and work mechanisms. She emphasized that the high turnout reflects the dedication of government institutions in Sharjah to contribute to an integrated financial vision supporting resource sustainability and governance.
Al Yasi further explained that the forum serves as a vital platform for exchanging experiences and enhancing collaboration between sectors, thereby advancing the government financial system. It also reviews initiatives aligning with Sharjah’s aspirations in its digital transformation journey.
She confirmed that the initiatives and projects introduced at the forum play a crucial role in building national capabilities, reinforcing efficiency and sustainability, and establishing the emirate as a model in modern financial management.
The forum’s sessions began with a discussion on updating the Sharjah Social Security Fund’s data, highlighting its importance in safeguarding subscribers’ rights and streamlining operations. Nasser Kashwani, Director of the Financial Training Centre, presented training initiatives, including the Public Finance Leadership Diploma and the upcoming Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification in collaboration with the Institute of Management Accountants.
Meera Bin Hadda Al Suwaidi reviewed the “Tahseel” smart system, an innovative solution for government revenues enhancing security and transparency through automation. The forum concluded with a presentation on the Sharjah Museums Authority’s digital experience in implementing an automated tendering system.
