Sharjah: The Arab Parliament for the Child (APC) is set to hold its second session of the fourth cycle at its Sharjah headquarters from 22nd to 27th July. This event will take place under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, with oversight by Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States.
According to Emirates News Agency, the organisational committees of the APC convened a coordination meeting on Tuesday, led by Ayman Othman Al Barout, Secretary-General of the APC. The meeting aimed to prepare and review all organisational, technical, and administrative aspects to ensure the event's success.
Participants at the meeting evaluated the operational progress and continued coordination efforts with partners and entities within the Government of Sharjah. Discussions also covered the latest developments regarding the reception of delegations from Arab countries and parliamentary teams. This coordination is being carried out in conjunction with the League of Arab States and its permanent missions based in Cairo.
Al-Barout emphasized that, following Sharjah's leadership directives, the Arab Parliament for the Child is dedicated to organising the children's parliamentary session to meet high professional and institutional standards. He highlighted that Sharjah will welcome young Arab parliamentarians in July, providing them a platform at the Sharjah Consultative Council to share their visions, concerns, and community issues through a structured parliamentary dialogue.
