Sharjah Government Announces Eid Al Adha Holiday Dates

Sharjah: The Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR) has declared the official holiday period for Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha for government departments, authorities, and institutions in Sharjah. The holiday will commence on Monday, 25th May 2026, and will extend until Friday, 29th May 2026.

According to Emirates News Agency, the announcement specifies that official working hours will resume on Monday, 1st June 2026. However, employees who work on a shift system will continue to follow their regular duty schedules. This decision ensures a unified break for the Arafat Day and Eid Al Adha period across all Sharjah government departments, authorities, and institutions.

The holiday schedule is set to provide a consistent break for government employees, aligning the holiday period with religious observances. The return to normal working hours on June 1, 2026, marks the end of the holiday, except for those on shift-based schedules.
