Sharjah: The Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department has entered into a memorandum of cooperation with the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Foundation (Ruwad). This agreement is designed to empower citizens to participate in real estate brokerage by adhering to the highest professional and regulatory standards. It also aims to advance specialized real estate training and educational programs.

According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement is part of Sharjah's strategic efforts to increase citizen participation in the real estate sector and foster sustainable employment and entrepreneurial opportunities. The memorandum was signed by Abdulaziz Rashid Al-Saleh, Director of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, and Fatima Hassan Al-Ali, Acting Director of Ruwad. The signing ceremony was attended by several notable figures, including Abdulaziz Ahmed Al-Shamsi, Director-General of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, and Hamad Al-Mahmoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD).

The agreement aligns with Sharjah's vision to enhance cooperation between government bodies and entrepreneurship-support institutions. The primary goal is to empower citizens, develop their real estate capabilities, and enable them to pursue sustainable career paths. It also provides participants with advanced training and qualification programs to practice real estate brokerage with high professionalism and operational efficiency.

Under the agreement's terms, Ruwad will promote the Emirati Real Estate Broker Initiative, support training programs for citizens interested in joining the sector, and manage applications from entrepreneurs wishing to engage in real estate brokerage activities. Ruwad will also provide suitable training venues and cover instructors' fees to ensure the effective implementation and success of the programs.

In return, the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department will organize specialized training programs to qualify citizens for real estate brokerage, grant initial approvals for brokerage licenses, and exempt beneficiaries from training program fees. Abdulaziz Al-Shamsi highlighted that this agreement aligns with directives from Sharjah's leadership to stimulate the real estate market and empower citizens to play an active role in key economic sectors.

Hamad Al-Mahmoud commented that the memorandum marks a significant step toward empowering national talent and reinforcing the presence of Emirati entrepreneurs in Sharjah's real estate brokerage sector. Through the Emirati Real Estate Broker Initiative, the collaboration aims to provide a supportive business ecosystem that integrates professional training with market opportunities.

Al-Mahmoud also emphasized the strategic partnership's alignment with Sharjah's vision for entrepreneurship. He noted that real estate brokerage is a fundamental pillar of Sharjah's real estate sector, crucial for market regulation, transparency, and efficiency in property transactions. Given the emirate's urban and developmental expansion, there is a growing need for qualified national brokers to keep pace with market expansion.

Finally, he added that under the memorandum and initiative's implementation plan, Ruwad will organize specialized training programs for entrepreneurs. The foundation will also provide necessary support to meet regulatory requirements, facilitate business license approvals, and exempt initiative beneficiaries from training fees. These measures aim to reduce financial burdens on entrepreneurs and enhance their readiness to enter the real estate market confidently.
