Sheikh Hamdan Commends Dubai Civil Defence Team for Swift Response to Building Fire

Dubai: H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, met with a team from Dubai Civil Defence. The meeting took place in the presence of Lieutenant General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Civil Defence.

According to Emirates News Agency, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan commended the team for their skill and performance in containing a recent building fire in Dubai. The fire was controlled in record time, thanks to the use of state-of-the-art firefighting equipment. He acknowledged the team's readiness and praised their professionalism and training, which enable them to operate sophisticated equipment. Sheikh Hamdan emphasized the importance of their work in maintaining Dubai's reputation as one of the world's safest cities.

Lieutenant General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi expressed gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Hamdan for his ongoing support, which inspires all members of Dubai Civil Defence. He reaffirmed the team's dedication to excellence, skill development, and equipment modernisation, aligning with the leadership's vision to enhance Dubai's status as a leading global city.

Last week, Dubai Civil Defence deployed 'Shaheen' drones to manage a fire in a residential building in Al Barsha. The advanced drones, designed for high-rise fires up to 200 metres, are equipped with a 1,200-litre tank for water and firefighting foam, offering rapid aerial support.
