Al wathba: The Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award celebrated the winners of the Awareness and Promotional Content Competition during a ceremony at the Award Pavilion at the Sheikh Zayed Festival in Al Wathba, Abu Dhabi.
According to Emirates News Agency, the event was attended by Mubarak Al Qusaili Al Mansouri, Chair of the Festivals and Accompanying Competitions Committee; Othman Al Husseini, Chair of the Awareness and Promotional Content Competitions Committee; and various officials, specialists, and stakeholders in the agricultural sector. This competition underscores the Award's commitment to enhancing public awareness and fostering media and creative initiatives that support sustainable agricultural development, promoting innovation and excellence within this vital sector.
The ceremony recognized winners in the 'Best Local Agriculture Influencer' category, with Ahmed Ali Al Hafiti, Eman Salem Majgeer, and Marwan Al Mazrouei securing the first, second, and third places, respectively. They were commended for their contributions to spreading agricultural knowledge and promoting sustainable practices on digital platforms, as well as raising public awareness about agriculture and food security.
In the 'Best Local Livestock Influencer' category, Amal Abdullah Al Hammadi and Surour Abdulwahid Zallam were honoured for their efforts in highlighting the livestock sector and promoting best practices in animal husbandry and production.
The 'Best Promotional Video for the Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Agricultural Excellence Award - Individuals and Media Companies' category saw Saber Abdulaziz Al Rashdi taking first place, with Falah Abdullah Al Naqbi in second. For the 'Best Promotional Video for the Award - University Students' category, Bakhita Ali Al Mansouri, Al Yazia Mohammed Al Ameri, and Sarah Qaran Al Mansouri were recognized for their creative media content that aligns with the Award's mission and objectives.
Bdoor Ahmed Al Farwa was honoured for her 'Best Awareness Coverage of the Accompanying Festivals and Competitions', showcasing agricultural events and effectively conveying their educational message to the public.
Mubarak Al Qusaili Al Mansouri emphasized that the recognition of these winners highlights the Award's commitment to nurturing creative national talent and empowering individuals and institutions to disseminate agricultural culture and promote the sector's vital role in sustainability and food security. He noted that the Award serves as a national platform for fostering innovation and excellence, encouraging the adoption of best practices and modern agricultural technologies.
He remarked on the strong participation in the competition as a reflection of the growing societal recognition of the importance of 'agricultural media'. This recognition supports the UAE's efforts toward sustainable agricultural development and enhanced community involvement in this field.
