Sharjah: The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority (SRTA) has announced the launch of the second edition of the “Tareeq” summer programme, designed for the children of its employees. This initiative will commence on Sunday, 7th July 2025, and run until 17th July, aiming to offer children a constructive and enriching way to spend their summer vacation while developing essential personal and leadership skills.
According to Emirates News Agency, Yousef Khamis Al Othmani, Chairman of SRTA, stated that the summer programme is a testament to the Authority’s dedication to nurturing young minds. He emphasized the significance of channeling the energy of young people into constructive activities that merge learning with enjoyment in a secure setting. The programme aspires to instill positive values and enhance social skills, preparing the youth to contribute effectively to societal development.
Al Othmani further noted that the programme aligns with the Authority’s vision to foster a supportive environment for both employees and their families. This year’s edition includes an array of activities and new collaborations with government and private entities, aimed at inspiring creativity and exploring future job prospects among young participants.
Fatima Al Hosani, Deputy Director of the Human Resources Department at SRTA, elaborated that the two-week programme will feature a diverse range of activities and workshops in partnership with several organizations. Highlights include workshops on safety and prevention with the Sharjah Police, an interactive session on artificial intelligence with Sharjah Media City, and family counseling sessions themed ‘My Family is the Secret to My Happiness.’
Moreover, the programme will offer visits to the joint operations room of SRTA and Sharjah Police, enabling children to gain insights into the functions of both agencies.
