Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, led a pivotal meeting at the Sharjah Government Legal Department. The meeting focused on enhancing the legal framework to support families within the emirate.
According to Emirates News Agency, the council has approved the establishment of a Family Court designed to address the specific needs of families. The Judicial Inspection Department has been tasked with formulating regulations aimed at promoting family stability. A committee will oversee the management of funds intended for children and similar cases, ensuring these resources are managed prudently.
The meeting also concluded with the decision to create a new fund dedicated to facilitating urgent alimony payments, particularly for women and children, when conventional channels fail due to legal or financial barriers. This initiative seeks to offer timely support and equitable treatment to families across Sharjah. The fund will initially disburse payments with the objective of reclaiming the amounts from the responsible parties.
The meeting saw participation from various key judicial figures including Judge Dr. Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Dr. Mansour bin Nassar, Judge Ahmed Abdullah Al Mulla, Counsellor Anwar Amin Al Harmoudi, Judge Dr. Salama Rashid Salem Tamim Al Ketbi, Judge Abdulrahman Sultan bin Taliah, Judge Dr. Omar Obaid Al Ghoul, and Sheikh Faisal bin Ali bin Abdullah Al Mualla.
