Sultan bin Ahmed Attends 6th Sharjah Police Excellence Councils

Sharjah: H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Institutional Excellence Award, attended the 6th edition of the Sharjah Police Excellence Councils, organized by the Sharjah Police in collaboration with the Institutional Excellence Award in Aljada.

According to Emirates News Agency, the event commenced with Sheikh Sultan and attendees watching a video that outlined the vision of Sharjah Police to enhance security and promote a safe, stable society. The video highlighted efforts to improve operational efficiency through advanced technologies and artificial intelligence, aiming for faster response times, greater procedural accuracy, and support for sustainable development in policing.

The panel discussion, led by Major Ahmed Hamad Al Hammadi of Sharjah Police, featured remarks from Mohammed Rashid bin Taliah, Head of Government Services in the UAE Government. Bin Taliah discussed the 'Zero Bureaucracy' programme, which seeks to eliminate unnecessary procedures, reduce service delivery times, and address duplicate transactions. This programme is implemented in coordination with local government entities and private-sector partners through joint task forces.

Dr Khawla Abdulrahman Al Mulla, former Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, presented Sharjah's model for family empowerment, inspired by His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi. She noted that the vision focuses on people-centered development and improving living standards through policies and legislation that strengthen family stability.

Brigadier Dr Tariq Jassim Al Midfa emphasized the importance of programmes that enhance quality of life and align with government initiatives like the Zero Bureaucracy Programme. He highlighted the role of strategic partnerships, performance measurement, and global best practices in supporting these initiatives.

Humaid Hassan Al Shamsi discussed the Sharjah Customer Experience Improvement Programme, which aims to enhance government services by focusing on customer needs. The programme involves customers in service design through feedback and surveys, helping to streamline procedures and improve service quality.

Mona Al Ghawi, General Coordinator of the 'Tamayuz' Institutional Excellence Award, explained the award's focus on governance and data governance, supported by an independent evaluation committee. She emphasized that excellence and employee satisfaction are key drivers of institutional success.

Attendees also explored topics such as institutional excellence, innovation, workforce efficiency, and the use of smart solutions to enhance service delivery. Sheikh Sultan honored the speakers with commemorative shields and received a gift from Sharjah Police for his support and participation.

On the event's sidelines, Sheikh Sultan visited an exhibition showcasing Sharjah Police initiatives, including the Digital Security Laboratory and the Traffic Safety System initiative. He was briefed on the Sharjah Police Excellence Programme, which aims to build institutional knowledge and improve services. Sheikh Mohammed bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Sheikh Saud bin Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Sheikh Faisal bin Ali Al Mualla, and other senior officials and officers from Sharjah Police General Command were also in attendance.
