Cairo: H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Judicial Council, visited the Court of Cassation in the Arab Republic of Egypt. During his visit, he met with Counsellor Assem Abdel Latif Al Saeed, the President of the Court of Cassation and the Supreme Judicial Council, at the court's headquarters in Cairo.
According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed emphasized the importance of his visits to Egyptian judicial institutions, noting the benefits gained. He expressed his intention to apply these outcomes to strengthen the judicial system in Sharjah. He also highlighted that future visits are planned to reinforce cooperation, leveraging Egypt's judicial expertise.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed expressed gratitude to the President of the Court of Cassation and the council members for their cooperation and reception. He affirmed that these initiatives help consolidate relations between the UAE and Egypt, supporting expertise exchange for mutual benefits.
The President of the Egyptian Court of Cassation welcomed the visit, expressing pride in the strengthened relations with the UAE, particularly Sharjah. He assured that the court is eager to enhance judicial ties, benefiting both countries' judicial systems.
During the visit, Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed was shown a presentation on the Court of Cassation's history and achievements. He also explored rare historical books in the court's library, showcasing its judicial heritage. Judges and counsellors provided insights into the court's jurisdictions and its role in justice.
The meeting concluded with an exchange of commemorative shields and group photographs between the Chairman of the Judicial Council and the President of the Egyptian Court of Cassation.
