Qatar University will host the 10th Scientific Conference for Pharmacy Students in the Middle East (EMPS) during July 7-17, 2023, with the participation of pharmacy students from across the Middle East under the theme of “Healthcare System through the Pharmacy Eyes”.

– Qatar Foundation members, Education Development Institute (EDI) and the Wijdan Cultural Center joined forces launching the Nibras Initiative, to establish a citizenship education framework that integrates values into school curricula through a practical training project.

– Qatar Career Development Center (QCDC), founded by Qatar Foundation (QF), launched today the 5th edition of the “My Career – My Future” program in collaboration with over 13 public and private sector organizations.

– Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP), jointly with its anchor partner, Qatar Shell Research and Technology Center, recently hosted a panel discussion to underline the value of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in propelling the transition toward a low carbon economy.

– Qatar Financial Markets Authority (QFMA) on Sunday announced permitting participation in the initial public offerings (IPO) on behalf of a minor child, provided that the money used belongs to one of the minor’s parents, and not from the minor’s own money subject to the provisions of guardianship and the provisions of the guardianship over minors funds.

– Investment Promotion Agency Qatar (IPA Qatar) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Kazakh Invest-the national development institute that promotes sustainable socio-economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

– The Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) general index on Sunday dropped 48.22 points (0.47%), to close at 10,208.99 points.

– Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) issued 758 building permits during the month of May 2023, an increase of 98 percent compared to 383 in April 2023.

– Qatar Press Center organized on Sunday a workshop entitled “protection of journalists in times of armed conflicts,” in cooperation with Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) and International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), in presence of HE President of QRCS Yousef bin Ali Al Khater, Head of ICRC Mission in Qatar Cherine Pollini, along with a host of media personnel and journalists.

– Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has launched its annual Adhahi project for the year 1444 AH under the slogan “Humanity First…Your sacrifice makes them happy,” to facilitate the ritual of sacrifice for everyone.

– The 32nd Doha International Book Fair will kick off Monday under the theme “With reading we rise,” with the participation of 500 direct publishers from 37 countries.

– The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) team won the sixth edition of the banks and financial institutions championship, organized by the Qatar Football Association (QFA), after a 5-0 victory over the Qatar Islamic Bank team at the Aspire Academy.

– The 28th edition of the Rabat International Book Fair came to a close today. Organized by Moroccan Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication, the fair was held during the period from June 1-11, with the participation of the Ministry of Culture and Qatar University Press (QU Press).
