Tadweer Group and Umm Al Emarat Park Achieve Guinness World Record for Recycled Mosaic

Umm al emarat park: Umm Al Emarat Park and Tadweer Group have jointly set a new Guinness World Record for the largest recycled materials mosaic, an artwork made from recycled plastic bottle caps. This community accomplishment was celebrated at a special award ceremony at the Park, attended by officials from Tadweer Group, Umm Al Emarat Park, and Guinness World Records adjudicators. According to Emirates News Agency, the record attempt was an inclusive event that invited the community to participate and engage with environmental issues. Participants were encouraged to place recycled plastic bottle caps onto a custom-made wall, creating a mosaic based on universal recycling icons. This initiative was the final component of the 'Cap Your Way to Sustainability' campaign, aimed at increasing environmental awareness in Abu Dhabi. The project saw active participation from families, students, and visitors over two periods from December 8-10. The Park offered free entry to encourage community involvement, while Tadw eer Group led the design and provided many of the bottle caps. The mosaic, measuring 25 square meters, utilized 24,846 bottle caps with 356 participants contributing over 18 hours. Abdulwahed Juma of Tadweer Group highlighted the importance of promoting sustainability and the group's goal to divert 80% of waste from Abu Dhabi landfills by 2030. He emphasized the community's role in waste management and hinted at future initiatives. Rasha Kablawi from Umm Al Emarat Park expressed the significance of the achievement in promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility. She noted the initiative's alignment with the UAE's Year of Community and the Park's commitment to fostering a healthier environment through innovative solutions.
