Head of the High Council of State, Mohamed Takala, discussed with Ambassador of the EU Mission to Libya, Nicola Orlando, the plan of the UN Envoy, Abdoulaye Bathily, to resolve the Libyan crisis and reach a consensus among all political parties in a way that supports democratic track in Libya. This came during a meeting held at the Council's headquarters in Tripoli in the presence of the Deputy Ambassador of the EU Mission, Horia Nagavsky. The communication office of the council stated that the meeting discussed ways to reduce the negative effects of illegal migration on Libyan society and support Libyan efforts in this regard. The office added that Takala commended the important role played by the EU in supporting inclusive Libyan reconciliation efforts, stability, and reaching a national consensus.
