The Corneal Transplant Authority intends to perform 800 corneal transplants.

Tripoli: The Corneal Transplant Authority, in cooperation with the Tripoli Eye Hospital, began preparing for the new batch of cases that need a complete and layered corneal transplant. The Tripoli Eye Hospital stated that the target of the corneal transplant is to perform 800 operations, after completing 800 successful corneal transplants since the activation of the authority last year after a 10-year hiatus. The hospital indicated that the Corneal Transplant Authority is the only accredited institution in this field within Libya. Source: Libyan News Agency
