Abu Dhabi: Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has approved an AED100 million contribution from Erth Zayed Philanthropies to the Life Endowment campaign. This initiative aims to support individuals in Abu Dhabi living with chronic illnesses.
According to Emirates News Agency, the commitment will focus on aiding People of Determination who face chronic health issues. The funding will provide access to necessary treatments, medicines, and other essential health services. Sheikh Theyab emphasized that the Life Endowment campaign mirrors the UAE's values of solidarity and social responsibility, drawing inspiration from the humanitarian legacy of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the vision of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The initiative aims to ensure that access to healthcare is not limited by one's circumstances.
The campaign is designed to secure sustainable funding for chronic illness care, providing resources for treatment, medicines, and psychological support. It will also work towards enhancing healthcare services and infrastructure. The allocated funds will be distributed directly to hospitals and healthcare providers, with each case undergoing a review process to determine eligibility.
