Theyab Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Witnesses Unveiling of Official Medals for Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026

Abu dhabi: H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes' Affairs, was present at the unveiling of the official medals for the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026. The event took place at Wahat Al Karama, a site emblematic of honour, sacrifice, and unity. Other prominent figures in attendance included Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National Anti-Narcotics Authority; and Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs.

According to Emirates News Agency, the ceremony gathered leadership, dignitaries, athletes, and the community to celebrate the values of the games, such as dedication, inclusivity, and pride. This event aligns with the Year of Community, promoting the UAE's vision of social bonds and well-being through shared experiences.

Aref Hamad Al Awani, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council and a member of the Supreme Organising Committee of the Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026, described the event as a celebration of sport and national identity. He emphasized that the medal's design reflects each participant's journey toward excellence. Al Awani noted the significance of unveiling the medal at Wahat Al Karama, a venue symbolizing the nation's strength and unity.

The Open Masters Games Abu Dhabi 2026 is open to all individuals aged 30 and above, with no restrictions on experience or fitness level.
