TRENDS and STRATEGIECS Forge Research Cooperation Agreement

Amman: TRENDS Research and Advisory has signed a research cooperation agreement with the STRATEGIECS Institute for Strategic Studies and Research, coinciding with the inauguration of its Virtual Office in Amman, Jordan's capital. The agreement marks one of the initial activities of the new office, aiming to fortify TRENDS' global knowledge partnerships. It is part of the efforts by both entities to enhance cooperation in futures studies, enrich foresight research content, and exchange expertise in training, opinion polls, and comprehensive research work.

According to Emirates News Agency, Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory, emphasized that the agreement is a significant milestone in TRENDS' development and aligns with its vision of building robust partnerships with leading research institutions. He stated that the inauguration of TRENDS' Virtual Office in Amman underscores the belief that research collaboration is vital to understanding the complex challenges facing the region.

Hasan Ismaik, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of STRATEGIECS, noted that the Memorandum of Understanding with TRENDS represents an important step in Arab research cooperation. He highlighted the shared vision of enhancing knowledge and research on key regional and global issues, and mentioned that the partnership would facilitate the exchange of expertise and studies, supporting policy-making and future preparedness.

Hazem Al-Dmour, Director-General of STRATEGIECS, emphasized the institute's commitment to bridging the gap between knowledge and decision-making. He indicated that collaboration with TRENDS opens new opportunities for joint research and expertise exchange, benefiting the academic community and enhancing strategic awareness in the region.

The STRATEGIECS Institute is recognized as a leader in strategic forecasting, with its scenarios achieving an accuracy rate of 87.5 percent during the first nine months of 2025.

As part of its opening activities, TRENDS' office in Jordan hosted a joint panel discussion with STRATEGIECS to discuss the future work plan. The office director also visited Al-Rai newspaper and met with its Director-General, Heyam Al-Karaki, to explore media cooperation to raise awareness of strategic issues. The visit concluded with a roundtable discussion with the newspaper's management, highlighting the media's role in making research knowledge accessible to all segments of society.
