Sharjah: TRENDS Research and Advisory is set to participate as a research partner in the 44th edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) 2025, which will be held from November 5th to 16th at the Expo Centre Sharjah. The event will operate under the theme ‘It’s Between You and a Book’.

According to Emirates News Agency, the fair will attract 2,350 publishers and exhibitors from 118 countries, along with hundreds of thinkers, writers, translators, and creatives from around the world. The event will feature more than 1,200 cultural, creative, and artistic activities.

TRENDS plans to contribute to the fair with approximately 500 scientific and knowledge-based publications. These publications will include original and translated books, research papers, and studies on topics such as economics, politics, artificial intelligence, and advanced technology. Additional new titles will cover areas like cybersecurity, sustainable development, foreign policy, international relations, political Islam, climate, environment, and health.

Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS, expressed pride in being the research partner of SIBF 2025, highlighting that this partnership enhances constructive scientific research and purposeful knowledge. He stated that TRENDS aims to transform research and studies into actionable insights and practical solutions applicable across various sectors.

He further noted that SIBF, as a prominent cultural and intellectual platform in the Middle East, offers an excellent opportunity for direct interaction with the public. It allows researchers and academics to engage closely with their audiences, gather feedback, and gain a deeper understanding of community interests and perspectives, thereby enriching future research efforts.

Dr. Al-Ali also pointed out that through its partnership in the fair, TRENDS aims to increase community awareness of regional and global issues. This will be achieved via dialogue sessions, panel discussions, and interactive workshops focusing on cross-border topics such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, terrorism, and sustainability.

Rawdha Al-Marzouqi, Researcher and Director of the Distribution and Exhibitions Department at TRENDS, stated that the centre’s agenda at this year’s fair includes the signing of 17 new publications authored by TRENDS researchers and writers. It will also feature a series of youth panel discussions and interactive meetings.
