Abu dhabi: The TRENDS Youth Council recently held an interactive workshop titled 'Draw the Path of Your Leadership Journey' aimed at building a shared youth vision and exploring opportunities for empowering young research leaders. The event, part of TRENDS' celebrations for International Youth Day, took place at their headquarters in Abu Dhabi and focused on enhancing the role of young researchers in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
According to Emirates News Agency, the workshop attracted members of the TRENDS Youth Council, its Advisory Council, as well as experts, academics, and specialists. The discussions centered around the qualities of effective leadership and strategies to strengthen youth engagement in scientific research. Participants also examined ways to develop innovative training programs that equip young researchers with advanced tools and methodologies.
Key leadership traits such as creativity, flexibility, curiosity, courage, critical analysis, decision-making, cultural openness, and knowledge sharing were reviewed during the event. The workshop also emphasized the use of artificial intelligence, modern technologies, and data analysis to tackle global, societal, and environmental challenges. Additionally, it highlighted the importance of active participation in regional and international youth forums.
