Shantou: Twelve people have been killed in a residential fire in the southern Chinese city of Shantou on Tuesday night. The incident occurred in a four-storey building and resulted in a rapid response from local emergency services.
According to Emirates News Agency, the blaze broke out at 9:20 pm local time (1320 GMT). The fire was extinguished approximately 40 minutes later, but not before claiming the lives of twelve individuals. Local authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
