Abu Dhabi: President of UAE Accountability Authority, Humaid Obaid Khalifa Obaid Abushibs, welcomed the President of the State Audit Bureau, Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Emadi, along with his delegation, in Abu Dhabi. The official visit focused on expanding partnerships and coordination in financial oversight and accountability.
According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting explored ways to enhance institutional knowledge exchange and improve audit practice efficiency. Discussions included adopting innovative approaches and leveraging modern technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to enhance operational quality, transparency, and accountability in auditing systems within the public sector.
Both parties stressed the importance of building national capabilities and increasing joint institutional coordination. These efforts aim to bolster trust in Gulf auditing institutions on both regional and international fronts.
The visit forms part of broader efforts by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states to integrate oversight and unify audit activities, thereby safeguarding public resources and promoting sustainable development.
