Abu Dhabi: The UAE Accountability Authority (UAEAA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation, coinciding with Igor Krasnov's official visit to the UAE. Krasnov serves as the Prosecutor-General of the Russian Federation.
According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU is designed to enhance bilateral cooperation frameworks in areas that support the strategic partnership between the UAE and Russia. The agreement was formalized at the UAEAA headquarters in Abu Dhabi, signed by Humaid Obaid Abushibs, President of the UAE Accountability Authority, and Igor Krasnov.
The MoU focuses on initiatives related to integrity and anti-corruption, aiming to advance cooperation, share expertise, develop institutional capacities, and broaden the partnership's reach within international forums. This effort is part of promoting a global culture of transparency and accountability.
The UAE Accountability Authority emphasized that this agreement aligns with the UAE's strategic directions and reflects the leadership's vision, which prioritizes transparency and anti-corruption in governance. The authority also highlighted the importance of learning from international best practices, including insights from Russia's experience in this sector.
