Abu dhabi: The National Programme for Artificial Intelligence, in partnership with the National Programme for Coders, has unveiled the eighth edition of the UAE AI Camp. This initiative is part of the UAE Government's sustained efforts to foster AI adoption and nurture national talent capable of navigating swift technological changes, ultimately advancing a competitive and sustainable knowledge-based economy.
According to Emirates News Agency, the camp is scheduled to run from 17th to 29th August 2026 and is designed to engage a diverse audience, including school and university students, young professionals, employees, and small and medium-sized enterprise owners. The camp focuses on AI, programming, and emerging technologies, aiming to build a new generation equipped to leverage AI for practical solutions and technological leadership.
Dr. Abdulrahman Al Mahmoud, Director at the UAE Government's Artificial Intelligence Office, highlighted the necessity of evolving educational platforms to keep pace with rapid AI advancements. He noted that nurturing talent is crucial for fostering innovation and preparing society for future challenges. The UAE AI Camp, he stated, adapts to the dynamic technology landscape by offering updated training content and collaborating with leading global organisations. This approach provides participants with access to cutting-edge AI applications and practical experiences.
The camp's workshops and activities are conducted in collaboration with the Transport Authority of the Government of Ajman and several international companies, including Maharat Min Google, Microsoft, Brainy n Bright, Accenture, Think Media Labs, Intel, BytePlus, Spectrum, and Modesh World. The programme includes workshops on fraud detection, password protection, digital well-being, AI-powered project management, and legal operations.
Participants will also engage in the Future of Transport Hackathon, explore generative AI, and participate in hands-on workshops on AI's data learning processes. The camp offers an interactive exploration of robotics and a comparative analysis of generative AI and Agentic AI.
Additionally, the camp will highlight AI's practical applications in business, marketing, video production, and educational content, along with developing AI-powered mobile applications for various sectors. Over its past seven editions, the UAE AI Camp has attracted over 34,000 participants from a wide range of educational backgrounds, providing valuable skills and exposure to cutting-edge technologies.
