Abu dhabi: The UAE air defences successfully intercepted five ballistic missiles and 35 UAVs launched from Iran on Wednesday. Since these aggressive attacks began, UAE forces have engaged a total of 438 ballistic missiles, 19 cruise missiles, and 2,012 UAVs.
According to Emirates News Agency, the recent attacks have resulted in the martyrdom of two members of the UAE armed forces. Additionally, a Moroccan civilian contracted by the Armed Forces lost his life, along with nine other fatalities, including individuals of Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi, Palestinian, and Indian nationalities.
A total of 190 people were injured in the attacks, with injuries ranging from minor to severe. The injured include nationals from a wide array of countries such as the UAE, Egypt, Sudan, Ethiopia, the Philippines, and Pakistan, among others.
The Ministry of Defence has affirmed its readiness to respond to any threats, emphasizing its commitment to confront actions that aim to destabilize the country's security. The Ministry is dedicated to maintaining the sovereignty, security, stability, and protection of the nation's interests and capabilities.
