UAE and Indonesia Forge MoU for Public Resource Protection and Governance

Abu Dhabi: The UAE Accountability Authority and the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bolster bilateral cooperation in safeguarding public resources and promoting governance principles.

According to Emirates News Agency, the MoU was signed at the UAE Accountability Authority's headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The meeting was attended by Humaid Obaid Abushibs, Chairman of the UAE Accountability Authority, and Dr. Isma Yatun, Chairwoman of the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia. This agreement is part of efforts to enhance oversight relations between the two nations.

The agreement outlines several areas of cooperation, including the exchange of specialised knowledge and sharing best practices in auditing, accounting, and oversight of public resources. It also facilitates mutual benefits from training programmes and capacity-building initiatives, alongside coordination in relevant events and conferences.

The MoU underscores both countries' commitment to improving governance standards in key sectors, contributing to sustainable development, and enhancing global economic security and stability.
