UAE and New Zealand Explore Strengthening Parliamentary Cooperation

Abu dhabi: Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Defence Affairs, Interior and Foreign Affairs Committee at the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Tim van de Molen, Chair of Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Committee of the New Zealand Parliament, in Abu Dhabi to discuss ways to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the UAE and New Zealand.

According to Emirates News Agency, the meeting was also attended by Dr. Richard Kay, the New Zealand Ambassador to the UAE. Dr. Al Nuaimi emphasized that the visit would bolster parliamentary ties, reflecting the growth of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which are founded on mutual trust and cooperation across several fields.

Dr. Al Nuaimi highlighted the importance of coordination and consultation on mutual issues, as well as the exchange of parliamentary expertise and knowledge to support shared interests. He noted that the UAE's policies are based on tolerance and coexistence, principles that guide its diplomatic and parliamentary relations and encourage dialogue, peace, and sustainable development on a global scale.

Tim van de Molen expressed New Zealand's eagerness to expand cooperation with the UAE in various sectors to advance common interests and promote prosperity for both nations.
