Ankara: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan witnessed the exchange of several agreements and memoranda of understanding between the United Arab Emirates and Turkey. These exchanges took place during the UAE President's state visit to Turkey and are aimed at expanding cooperation between the two nations.
According to Emirates News Agency, the agreements and memoranda reflect a shared commitment to advancing bilateral relations across multiple sectors. The formal ceremony, held at the Presidential Palace in Ankara, included the exchange of an agreement on the mutual protection of classified information, as well as memoranda of understanding on the establishment of a joint consular committee, and investment in areas such as food and agriculture, pharmaceuticals, tourism and hospitality, and the industrial sector. Additionally, an MoU on cooperation in polar research was also exchanged.
Participants from the UAE included Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of Investment; Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; and Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State. From the Turkish side, the exchange featured Yasar Gler, Minister of National Defence; Nuh Yilmaz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Ahmet Burak Daglioglu, President of the Investment Office of the Presidency of Turkey; and Mehmet Fatih Kacir, Minister of Industry and Technology.
