UAE Armed Forces’ Unification Articulates Spirit of Union, Bolsters National Unity: Ajman Ruler

Ajman: H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Ajman, affirmed that the unification of the UAE Armed Forces constitutes a strategic decision that articulates the spirit of the Union, enhances national unity, and supports its security and stability. In a statement marking the 49th anniversary of the unification of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Humaid expressed pride and appreciation for the brave men of the Armed Forces who defend the homeland and safeguard its accomplishments. According to Emirates News Agency, Sheikh Humaid highlighted the historical significance of 6th May 1976, when the UAE Armed Forces were unified under the leadership of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the founding fathers. This unification established the pillars of security and stability, aiming to protect the nation's sovereignty and elevate its status internationally. Sheikh Humaid emphasized that the unification of the Armed Forces is not just a historical event but a symbol of national will and a shared destiny. He noted that this decision has strengthened national sovereignty and contributed to building a defensive force that maintains security and stability. H.H. Sheikh Humaid extended congratulations to UAE leaders, including President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the Supreme Council Members, as well as to the people of the UAE and members of the Armed Forces. He praised the UAE Armed Forces as a global model of efficiency and loyalty, playing a crucial role in peacekeeping locally, regionally, and internationally. Sheikh Humaid stressed the importance of the Armed Forces' achievements in capacity development and readiness. He expressed confidence in the secure and prosperous future of the nation, acknowledging the sacrifices of the nation's martyrs and expressing gratitude to the officers and soldiers for their tireless efforts in maintaining the country's safety and stability.
