UAE Brings Youth Engagement Model to Brazil in BRICS Youth Dialogue

Rio de janeiro: Marking a milestone in youth engagement, the United Arab Emirates brought its pioneering 'Youth Dialogue' model to Brazil for the very first time as part of its broader participation in the BRICS Summit.

According to Emirates News Agency, in partnership with Rio de Janeiro's Museum of Tomorrow, the UAE hosted a BRICS Youth Dialogue, uniting 40 Brazilian university students from four universities in a conversation on international cooperation, sustainability, and the role of youth in shaping the global agenda. The session was led by Saeed Al Hajeri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Trade Affairs and UAE's BRICS Sherpa, alongside Saleh Al Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to Brazil.

In his remarks, Al Hajeri emphasized that the dialogue reflects the UAE's belief in the importance of multilateral cooperation that includes the voices of the next generation. He noted that youth are not just future leaders but essential partners in creating today's solutions. He highlighted the importance of partnerships built on trust, connection, and shared aspirations, stating that Brazil is a key partner for the UAE within and beyond the BRICS framework.

Al Hajeri also remarked on the UAE's position in the Arab Youth Survey as the most desired country to live in by young people in the Middle East, attributing this to the safety, opportunity, and optimism the country fosters. He expressed a desire to extend this spirit of possibility across the BRICS community through partnerships like the BRICS Youth Dialogue.
