UAE Condemns Israeli Minister’s Actions at Al-Aqsa Courtyard

Abu Dhabi:The United Arab Emirates has issued a strong condemnation against the storming of Al-Aqsa Courtyard by Itamar Ben-Gvir, the Israeli Minister of National Security, who entered the area with settlers while under the protection of Israeli police. This act has been viewed by the UAE as a provocative escalation and an unacceptable form of extremism.

According to Emirates News Agency, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has called on the Israeli government to take full responsibility for these actions, urging it to condemn such hostile acts and hold accountable all individuals involved, including ministers and officials within the Israeli government.

The UAE further expressed that the ongoing attacks and incitement to hatred and violence represent a systematic campaign of extremism. This campaign endangers the Palestinian people, risks social peace, and could lead to further escalation.

Additionally, the UAE stressed the importance of respecting the historical and legal status quo of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The country reinforced the need to protect all holy sites and uphold the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan¾¢s custodial role in managing the endowments and affairs of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
