Dubai: The UAE Cybersecurity Council is set to participate in the upcoming "GITEX 2025" exhibition, scheduled to take place at the Dubai World Trade Centre from 13th to 17th October. The Council plans to present a range of pioneering digital initiatives that underscore its commitment to advancing digital transformation and securing the nation's cyberspace.
According to Emirates News Agency, the Council will also unveil its latest strategies aimed at enhancing cybersecurity on both national and international fronts. These efforts are part of a broader campaign to establish the UAE as a global leader in innovation and technology while securing critical digital infrastructure.
GITEX Global, renowned as a premier platform for technology and startups, has facilitated collaboration among innovators and investors in the tech sector for over forty years. This year's event will highlight the contributions of major technology corporations and emerging startups across a variety of fields, such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and sustainable technologies.
Throughout the exhibition, the Council will conduct a series of workshops and seminars tackling essential subjects including data protection, digital awareness, and advanced cyberattack response techniques. A key feature of their participation will be the presentation of pioneering initiatives in cybersecurity, including platforms for sharing cyber threat intelligence like the Compliance and Governance Platform and the "Crystal Ball" predictive analysis platform.
Additional highlights will include the "Capture the Flag" competition and innovation-centric activities under the Cyber E71 initiative. The Council will also seek to explore partnerships with the private sector and evaluate collaborations with leading global technology companies to bolster cyber resilience. The 'North Star' showcases will be dedicated to supporting startups.
Dr. Mohamed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, pointed out that this year's GITEX serves as a crucial platform for fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among global institutions. He emphasized the participation of leading technology firms, startups, and significant government entities, all contributing to the display of state-of-the-art advancements in information technology on a global scale. Dr. Al Kuwaiti reaffirmed that these initiatives reflect the UAE's steadfast commitment to supporting innovation in the vital technology sector.
