Abu dhabi: The UAE National Pavilion is poised to make its debut at the El Alamein International Airshow 2026, commencing tomorrow at the El Alamein International Airport, Matrouh Governorate, Egypt. The airshow, scheduled from 8 to 10 September 2026, offers a significant platform for aerospace, defense, and space stakeholders across Africa and the Middle East.
According to Emirates News Agency, the El Alamein International Airshow, which first launched in 2024, is a strategic regional event supported by several key Egyptian stakeholders, including the Ministry of Defence, the Egyptian Air Force, the Ministry of Civil Aviation, the Egyptian Space Agency, and EgyptAir. The event spans 125,000 square meters of exhibition space, featuring more than 250 exhibitors from 50 countries. It brings together governments, armed forces, civil aviation authorities, space agencies, and industry leaders.
Supported by the UAE Ministry of Defence and the Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, and organized by ADNEC Group, the UAE Pavilion positions the nation's defense sector at the forefront of this global gathering. The pavilion, covering 871 square meters, showcases leading Emirati companies in defense, aerospace, maintenance, and advanced technology, including EDGE Group, Generation 5 Holding, Abu Dhabi Aviation and its group companies, and Multi Level Group.
EDGE Group presents a wide array of advanced defense capabilities, featuring autonomous systems, uncrewed aviation, precision effects, and ammunition, such as the SHADOW loitering munitions and SKYKNIGHT air defense missile system. This reflects EDGE's growing portfolio of technologies designed to meet evolving operational requirements.
Generation 5 Holding's participation underscores its expanding presence in defense, aerospace, and advanced technology sectors. The company aims to establish strategic partnerships and engage with government and military entities to explore cooperation in development and manufacturing.
AD Aviation Group, through its companies like Abu Dhabi Aviation and Maximus Air, aims to expand its international presence and strengthen partnerships, leveraging Egypt's strategic position. GAL will showcase models of the F-16 and Rafale fighters, while AMMROC will present its Al Ain MRO Facility and C-130 Hercules model. Maximus Air will feature its Antonov AN-124-100 aircraft model.
ADNEC Group will highlight Abu Dhabi's status as a global hub for defense and aerospace industries and promote its recognized events, including IDEX and NAVDEX.
