Cairo: The United Arab Emirates Pavilion is set to open tomorrow at the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX) 2025, featuring seven national companies that will display the latest in defence and security solutions. These companies aim to promote their products and services to an international audience comprising industry leaders, decision-makers, and military personnel.
According to Emirates News Agency, the UAE Pavilion's participation is supported by the Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement and the UAE Ministry of Defence and organized by ADNEC Group. The Tawazun Council plays a pivotal role in aligning defence procurement with national capability requirements while ensuring value-for-money principles and industrial localisation objectives. The Council promotes a robust defence-industrial base by encouraging domestic manufacturing, attracting foreign investment, and integrating UAE firms into global equipment manufacturer value chains.
Tawazun is instrumental in shaping the regulatory environment through sector-specific licensing, standards, testing frameworks, and compliance systems. It also oversees the development of defence-specialised industrial zones and necessary infrastructure for high-compliance manufacturing. Additionally, the Council activates the national research, development, and innovation ecosystem through strategic programs that support technology absorption and collaboration across government, industry, and academia.
The fourth edition of EDEX, scheduled from 1-4 December 2025, is held under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi of Egypt, providing UAE companies an opportunity to strengthen international ties and expand their market reach. The UAE Pavilion will host prominent defence entities such as Tawazun Council, EDGE Group, Calidus, GAL, and AMMROC, alongside Al Jundi Magazine and ADNEC Group. Participants will display advanced defence solutions and engage with global audiences.
EDGE Group will present its solutions across five sectors, including Precision Guided Munitions and Secure Communications. Calidus will showcase pioneering defence products across Aerospace, Land Systems, and Missiles and Defence Systems, including the MATV armoured vehicle with the AlHeda missile platform. ADNEC Group will highlight upcoming exhibitions, emphasizing technological innovation in the defence sector.
Visitors to the Pavilion will have the opportunity to engage with experts and gain insights into the capabilities and strategic development behind the showcased defence solutions. The UAE Pavilion aims to be a hub for engagement, knowledge sharing, and fostering new opportunities in the global defence landscape.
Military personnel, decision-makers, and delegations are invited to explore the UAE Pavilion at Hall 3 of the Egypt International Exhibition Centre in Cairo, where they can view the latest UAE defence products and discuss collaboration opportunities to enhance the defence industry.
