UAE President and Emir of Kuwait Discuss Fraternal Ties and Regional Developments

Kuwait city: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with His Highness Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, to discuss the fraternal ties between their countries and explore ways to enhance cooperation, particularly in development and economic sectors, to benefit both nations.

According to Emirates News Agency, the talks took place at Bayan Palace during the UAE President's fraternal visit to Kuwait. The Emir of Kuwait welcomed Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, and the two leaders exchanged greetings, reflecting the close relations between their nations.

The discussion also addressed regional and international issues, focusing on developments in the Middle East. The leaders expressed support for initiatives to secure a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing a just peace based on the two-state solution as the path to stability in the region and fulfilling Palestinian aspirations.

They highlighted the importance of leveraging international recognition of the State of Palestine to support peace efforts. Additionally, they discussed joint Gulf cooperation, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening the Gulf Cooperation Council and promoting development and prosperity.

Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah hosted a luncheon for Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and his delegation. Attendees included UAE officials such as Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, alongside Kuwaiti leaders like the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Kuwait.

At the end of the visit, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed departed Kuwait, with a farewell from the Crown Prince of Kuwait and other officials.
