UAE President Engages in Bilateral Talks with Mozambique Counterpart During Sustainability Event

Abu dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a meeting with His Excellency Daniel Chapo, President of the Republic of Mozambique, who is visiting the UAE to participate in Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2026 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).

According to Emirates News Agency, the discussions between the two leaders focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in areas including economy, trade, development, renewable energy, and energy security. These sectors align with the national development goals of both nations and emphasize mutual interests, aiming for long-term benefits for their citizens.

The leaders also addressed the primary themes of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, emphasizing its role as a critical global forum for tackling sustainability challenges and fostering innovative solutions to drive sustainable progress.

The conversation highlighted their mutual dedication to further collaboration, particularly in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure, to achieve their common sustainability objectives.

During the session, Sheikh Mohamed and President Chapo oversaw the announcement of several agreements and memoranda of understanding in fields such as diplomacy, healthcare, environmental initiatives, and community development, aimed at fortifying the partnership between the UAE and Mozambique.

The meeting was also attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; along with other ministers and senior officials from the UAE.
