Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today received His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, at Qasr Al Bahr in Abu Dhabi. The meeting was marked by the exchange of Eid Al-Adha greetings, with both leaders expressing hopes for continued wellbeing and prosperity for their respective nations.
According to Emirates News Agency, His Excellency conveyed greetings from His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, along with wishes for the UAE's progress and prosperity. In response, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed extended his own greetings to the Emir, expressing hopes for Qatar's ongoing development.
The discussions between His Highness and the Qatari Prime Minister focused on the strong bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries. They reiterated their commitment to enhancing collaboration for mutual benefit.
Additionally, the two leaders reviewed regional and international issues of common concern, discussing recent developments and exchanging views on these matters.
Earlier, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani was received at Al Bateen Airport in Abu Dhabi by His Highness Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser, along with other officials.
The meeting at Qasr Al Bahr was attended by several prominent UAE officials, including H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and other members of the ruling family and government ministers.
