Abu dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today welcomed His Excellency Lee Jae-myung, President of the Republic of Korea, during a state visit to the UAE. An official reception ceremony was organized for President Lee at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi.
According to Emirates News Agency, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed accompanied President Lee to the dais of honour. The national anthems of both nations were played, followed by a 21-gun salute. An honour guard was present to pay respects to the visiting Korean leader. As President Lee's motorcade entered the courtyard, the UAE Air Force's aerobatic team, Al Fursan, performed a flypast, showcasing smoke trails in the colours of the Korean flag.
Emirati folk groups marked the occasion with traditional songs and dances, complemented by horse and camel parades. Children lined the route, waving flags of both the UAE and Korea as a welcoming gesture.
His Excellency was greeted by various dignitaries, including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, and members of the royal family and senior officials.
