UAE President Hosts US President Trump in Grand Ceremony at Qasr Al Watan

Abu Dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today welcomed US President Donald Trump during an official ceremony at Qasr Al Watan, marking the commencement of his state visit to the UAE.

According to Emirates News Agency, the ceremony featured a grand reception for President Trump, who was greeted with a ceremonial honour guard on horseback and a procession of riders on camels as his motorcade entered the palace grounds. Emirati folk groups performed to celebrate the event, highlighting the cultural hospitality extended to the visiting leader.

A community group comprising outstanding students from space camps, astronauts, and space mission engineers participated in the ceremony, reflecting the UAE's ongoing commitment to involving various community groups in national development initiatives.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed escorted President Trump to the dais of honour, where the national anthems of both nations were played. An honour guard was assembled, a 21-gun salute was fired, and groups of children waving flags of both countries lined the ceremonial route, adding to the welcoming atmosphere.

During the visit, President Trump toured the 'Guided by the Stars' exhibition at Qasr Al Watan. The exhibition showcases the UAE's achievements in space exploration and honors the vision of the nation's Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

In recognition of President Trump's visit, US flags and welcome banners were prominently displayed along major roads and landmarks across Abu Dhabi, especially on the route from the Presidential Airport to Qasr Al Watan.

The ceremony was attended by prominent UAE leaders, including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister; H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai; among other distinguished officials and ministers. The US delegation included several ministers and senior officials, accompanying President Trump on his state visit.
