UAE President Orders Nationwide Celebrations of UAE-Kuwait Relations in January 2026

Abu dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has announced that celebrations will take place across the United Arab Emirates in January 2026 to honor the enduring relationship between the UAE and the State of Kuwait. These celebrations are set to commence on January 29, 2026, and will continue for a week.

According to Emirates News Agency, the directive underscores the historical ties between the two nations and their peoples, which have been cultivated over decades. His Highness emphasized the fraternity and kinship that characterize the UAE's relationship with Kuwait. He reminisced about Kuwait's support both before and after the UAE's formation, noting the country's generosity and readiness to assist. This solidarity, he stated, remains a genuine testament to the friendship between the two countries.

His Highness has urged national institutions to commemorate the occasion, celebrating Kuwait, its leadership, and its people, in recognition of the longstanding relationship. He expressed his gratitude to Kuwait and affirmed the enduring bond between the two nations, wishing continued pride and prosperity to Kuwait, its Emir, and its citizens.
