Abu dhabi: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today received a phone call from His Excellency Dr Frank-Walter Steinmeier, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, to discuss regional developments amid the escalating military situation and its implications for security and stability.
According to Emirates News Agency, during the call, President Steinmeier affirmed Germany's solidarity with the UAE, supporting all measures taken by the UAE to ensure its security, stability, and territorial integrity. He condemned the Iranian attacks on the UAE and other regional countries, highlighting these actions as violations of state sovereignty and international law.
Steinmeier also expressed gratitude for the UAE's attention to the safety of German nationals residing in the country and its efforts to facilitate procedures for them during these challenging times. Both leaders emphasized the importance of containing the escalation and advocated for serious dialogue and diplomacy to address issues in the Middle East, aiming to prevent further crises and maintain regional and international security and stability.
