UAE President Receives Written Message from Bangladesh Prime Minister Concerning Bilateral Relations

Abu dhabi: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received a written message from Tarique Rahman, Prime Minister of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, concerning bilateral relations between the two countries. The message was delivered to H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, by Humayun Kabir, Adviser to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh for Foreign Affairs.

According to Emirates News Agency, during their meeting, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah and Kabir discussed the repercussions of Iran's recent missile attacks on the UAE and several other nations. Both parties strongly condemned these attacks, describing them as unprovoked and terrorist in nature. They emphasized the right of the affected countries to take necessary actions to safeguard their sovereignty and ensure the safety of their citizens and residents, in alignment with international law.

Kabir expressed Bangladesh's full solidarity with the UAE, pledging support for all measures taken to maintain the nation's security and stability. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah expressed gratitude for Bangladesh's supportive stance.

The discussions also covered several topics of mutual interest related to the bilateral relations between the UAE and Bangladesh. Sheikh Abdullah reiterated the UAE's commitment to strengthening cooperation with Bangladesh, aiming to advance mutual interests and foster sustainable economic growth for both countries.

The meeting was attended by Saeed Al Hajeri, Minister of State.
