UAE Showcases Digital Transformation in Judiciary at AUAJ Conference in Cairo

Cairo: The UAE Federal Supreme Court actively participated in the seventh meeting of the General Assembly of the Arab Union for Administrative Judiciary (AUAJ) and the fourth international conference of the Union, held in Cairo. Delegations from several member states were in attendance.

According to Emirates News Agency, Mohamed Hamad Al Badi Al Dhaheri, President of the Federal Supreme Court, delivered the opening speech at the Fourth International Conference of the AUAJ. The conference was held under the theme 'The Future of Administrative Justice in Light of the Challenges of Artificial Intelligence - A Comparative Reading between International Experiences and the Arab Reality.' Al Dhaheri highlighted the rapid technological revolution driven by artificial intelligence, which has become integral in shaping the future of various sectors, including the judiciary.

In his address, Al Dhaheri discussed the challenges faced by administrative justice amidst technological advancements. He emphasized the importance of balancing human justice demands with technical efficiency requirements. He remarked that justice is a moral value rooted in the conscience of the judge, beyond being just a mathematical equation.

Al Dhaheri highlighted the UAE's pioneering role in digital transformation, particularly within the judiciary. He outlined initiatives in e-justice and smart courts that uphold judicial independence and data confidentiality. He affirmed the UAE's success in balancing technological innovation with legal safeguards, ensuring that artificial intelligence serves as a supportive tool for judges in analyzing facts, rather than replacing their judgment.
